The Lawn Ceremony (also referred to Academic Procession or Final Exercises) starts at 9:00 am.  Please visit the Office of Major Events for more information and updates regarding Finals Weekend events.

Psychology Department Ceremony

Saturday, May 20, 2023 - 3:00 pm

Information regarding the Psychology Class of 2023 will be shared with summer 2022, fall 2022, and spring 2023 graduates via the UVA student email. We will also be updating this web page with important information.  Tickets are not required for the Psychology Dept Ceremony.  The event will be held indoors. The doors open at 2:30 pm and the event begins at 3:00 pm and is planned to end by 5:30 pm. Participating students should be seated by 2:40 pm.  Students will be seated alphabetically in center seating section in front of the stage (shown below) from front to back, starting with PhDs, Masters, DMPs, and Psychology BAs. Each seat will be labeled with the name of the student.  This ceremony is live only, we will not be recording or streaming this event.

  • All-Weather Location: Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC), 450 Whitehead Road, Charlottesville, VA Map.  This is an indoor venue.

    • The Department of Psychology proudly celebrates the successes of the Undergraduate Class of 2021.
