Guide for Psychology Subdisciplines

Psychology is a popular liberal arts major at the University of Virginia, with approximately 250 students graduating each year with a bachelor of arts degree.

Choosing from among about 35 undergraduate courses that are offered by the Department of Psychology each semester, students may focus their studies on one or more of several subdisciplines in Psychology.  While the prerequisites and general requirements of the Major provide a suitable background for all Psychology subdisciplines, students may choose to follow the curriculum of individual subdisciplines, leading to specialization and preparation for subsequent career tracks.

The links below are provided as a guidance for students who wish to concentrate on a Psychology subdiscipline while obtaining their BA degree.
